Stop Dump Site 41! Share/Bookmark
This is a 3 part documentry I did on the July 4th March to stop Dump Site 41.

dumpsite412

On July 4th, the people gathered in Elmvale and walked to the proposed Dump Site 41. Since the 6th there has been a native blockade of the site, where they planted trees at the entrances to the site.

We, including you, need to stop this mess from occurring. The site is atop an aquifer containing the cleanest water in the world. Help by signing the petition at http://www.stopdumpsite41.ca/, and call Ontario Premier Dalton McGuinty telling him to end this now. McGuinty’s number is (416) 325-1941. You can also write him on his website, or snail mail him at the following address:
Dalton McGuinty, Premier
Legislative Building
Queen’s Park
Toronto ON M7A 1A1

Let’s protect and save the cleanest water. It is an international treasure, not a dumping site for waste. Leaching poison will flow to surrounding area land and drinking water, into the Great Lakes, and around the world.

You are needed now as it is only a matter of weeks when they want to start dumping.

    Mr. McGuinty;

    Our children and grandchildren need to have clean water to survive the coming years. Stop this terrible travisty, come and see this beautiful land, taste the purest water in the world and perhaps you might understand better our concerns.

    Sincerely,
    Sherry and Lou Schulz

    Today a court injunction ordered the blockade to be removed and the protesters to remain on the farm across the street. Tony Guergis commented saying there is a growing concern from citizens about wasting tax dollars, and that the protestesters aren’t truthful about environmental concerns; it’s the dumpsite which has wasted tax dollars for over 20 years, and it’s Guergis who’s lying.
